IIT graduate is AAP nominee for Kurnool LS seat
HYDERABAD: The state unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced names of six more candidates contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Another list of 33 candidates from Telangana region for assembly seats was also announced.
An IIT graduate Vissa Kiran Kumar is contesting from Kurnool Lok Sabha constituency. On the whole, till date, AAP has decided to contest 15 LS constituencies in Telangana and Seemandhra regions and 74 Assembly constituencies in Telangana.
Earlier, the party members said they will contest around 10 LS seats, but the number is expected to be more as names of some more members from both the regions would be announced on Sunday.
'People selected belong to different social strata who are involved in social movements,' said B Ramakrishna Raju, convenor, state campaign coordination committee.
