Gandhi Bhavan turns 'Dharna Chowk'
Hyderabad, April 8 (INN): Gandhi Bhavan, the headquarters of Telangana Congress, turned into 'Dharna Chowk' on Tuesday with aspirants, along with their followers, staging protest over denial of party tickets for the ensuing Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Those who staged dharna at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday include workers from Chandrayangutta and Sanathnagar seats in the city, Kollapur and Jadcherla from Mahabubnagar and other constituencies. Some Mahabubnagar workers shouted slogans against Mallu Ravi.
Women activists led by AP Mahila Congress Secretary Rajni Devi and others including D Lakshmi and Sarita Devi staged dharna for denial of ticket to Akula Lalitha. They said injustice was done with women in allocation of tickets and there is no single women candidate from Hyderabad.
