TDP eyes Telugu areas in other states HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Party is all set to pan out. Speaking to reporters after releasing the first list of his party candidates for the ensuing polls in Seemandhra, the TDP chief said he was planning to expand his party base to the Telugu-dominated areas in other states.
'Telugu Desam Party is the symbol and sole representative of Telugus. In the coming days, if necessary, we will expand our base to the Telugu-dominated areas in the neighbouring states. We will set up party units in those states and groom leaders to work for the well-being of Telugus who live there,' said Naidu.
Coming down heavily on TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, the TDP supremo said, 'Rao has established family rule in his party. Not only he, but also his daughter, son and nephew are in the electoral fray.
They are making mockery of democracy. Rao wants to reestablish the feudal system in Telangana. But, people of Telangana would teach him a fitting lesson in the ensuing polls for his autocratic behaviour.'
Naidu further alleged that the TRS president had allotted his party nominations to turncoats, who had joined the party from the TDP at the eleventh hour.
