Naidu ropes in industrialists to campaign for TDP HYDERABAD: In what could be seen as an effort by the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to convince the people of Seemandhra that no other leader except him could reconstruct the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh on all fronts, the TDP chief has roped in some of the industrialists and young entrepreneurs, hailing from Seemandhra, to campaign for his party in the ensuing general elections.
A battery of entrepreneurs, who are sympathisers of the TDP, led by noted industrialist JA Chowdary, on Thursday embarked on a 'bus yatra' from here, which will cover several places in Seemandhra. The yatra is aimed at campaigning in support of the TDP across Seemandhra.
After flagging off the bus yatra at his residence here on Thursday, the TDP supremo vowed to transform the truncated AP into Singapore in all fronts. He also promised that he would metamorphose Seemandhra into another Silicon Valley by developing every prominent city in the region as an IT hub.
Defending his decision to forge alliance with the BJP, the former chief minister said, 'We have joined hands with the BJP to ensure that a stable and an efficient government is formed at the Centre. Then only, we can get more fundsfunds to develop residuary AP from the scratch.'
Film star-turned-politico Pawan Kalyan might have gone into a political hibernation after addressing his maiden public meeting in the capacity of the chief of fledgling Jana Sena Party, but Naidu tried to strike a chord with the youngsters and first-time voters by referring to the recent political speech of Pawan Kalyan.
'If we fail to provide proper employment in the new state for youngsters, then they might take the wrong path and turn as anti-social elements. Even Pawan Kalyan has recently pointed out this during his speech. That is why creating employment opportunities in the residuary state is high on our agenda,' he said.
