Rebel trouble haunts BJP, TDP in T HYDERABAD: The bonhomie between the TDP and the BJP over electoral alliance seems to be waning. The reason is that having reached an alliance after several days of negotiations, both TDP and BJP are now faced with the task of dealing with rebels, who filed nominations against the official candidates of respective parties, particularly in those seats which have been allotted to alliance partners.
As many as 19 seats shared by both parties are now facing rebel trouble from within in Telangana. TDP rebels filed nominations in 12 Assembly segments that have been allotted to BJP as part of electoral alliance whereas the BJP rebels filed nominations against the official TDP candidates in seven Assembly seats.
For instance, Sankineni Venkateswara Rao, who had the other day joined the BJP from the TDP, has been in the fray as BJP rebel in the Suryapet Assembly seat, that was allotted to the TDP.
Same is the case with former minister Boda Janardhan, who had joined the BJP from the TDP a few days ago and giving tough movements to the TDP official nominee in Boath Assembly segment by staying in the fray as a rebel.
BJP leaders are in the fray as rebels challenging the TDP official nominees in segments such as Chennur, Bellampally, Balkonda, Vikarabad, Ibrahimpatnam, Makthal, Sattupalli, Chevella, Maheswaram, Qutbullapur and Rajenderanagar Assembly seats.
Even the TDP leaders are also trying to spoil the winning chances of BJP nominees by filing their nominations as rebels of the yellow party.
For instance, in Nalgonda K Bhupal Reddy from the TDP has filed his nomination against the BJP official nominee.
Same it the case with Lankela Deepak Reddy, a TDP leader, who filed his nomination from Khairatabad Assembly seat against the BJP official candidate.
In fact, the TDP candidates are in the fray as rebels in segments such as Malkajgiri, Khairatabad, Nizamabad Rural, Warngal West, Warangal East, LB Nagar and Pinapaka Assembly segments.
