Vignan Rathaiah joins YSRC HYDERABAD: Vignan educational institutions chairman Lavu Rathaiah joined the YSRC on Friday. He was admitted to the party fold by YSRC president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his Lotus Pond residence at Banjara Hills in the city.
Rathaiah, who wants to go Lok Sabha, joined the party. He may be given ticket for Ongole seat where BJP is expected to field Daggubati Purandeswari. After joining the party, Rathaiah said that he joined the YSRC since he wanted to strengthen the hands of Jagan.
'Seemandhra needs a leader with forceful personality and Jagan Mohan Reddy fits the bill,' he said and pointed out that the Telugu Desam party has lost its sanctity long ago. It has become a destination for the Congress leaders.
'Today the party is overpopulated with Congress leaders,' he said. Meanwhile, Chintalapudi former MLA Ganta Murali Ramakrishna also joined the YSRC.
