Jagan vows to make all villages hut-free Kurnool: YSRC president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy urged the people of Seemandhra region to vote his party to power in the re'siduary AP state in the com'ing elections so that he could become the chief minister of the state.
Addressing road shows in Alur and Pattikonda towns in Kurnool district on Monday evening, as part of his poll campaign, he said he knew the 'souls of the peo'ple' of the region and added that he would work hard for their welfare.
He said that if he became the chief minister of the re'siduary AP state, he would sign files pertaining to five major issues immediately on assumption of office.
He explained that the five sub'jects were 'Amma Odi' scheme for free education of two children; old age pensions up to 700 each; Grant of remunerative Minimum Support Price for various crops to farmers; Waiver of loans for DWCRA self-help group women; and issuance of all types of cards, includ'ing ration cards, within 24 hours of application and that too at people's door'steps.
Jagan also promised to construct houses for every poor man and make all vil'lages hut- free by 2019. Castigating TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu,'Jagan accused him of abetting the Congress in the bifurcation of the state. He also charged that Naidu had backstabbed his own father-in-law the late NTR for his expeditious political ascendancy but was garlanding the latter's photo.
Jagan added that he did not believe in playing such political dramas but believed only in the welfare of the people. YSRC candidate for Kurnool LS seat Butta Renukamma, party candidate for the Alur Assembly seat G Jayaram and party nominee for Pathikonda Assembly constituency Kotla Chakrapani Reddy were also among those present.
