Vote YSRCP for a prosperous State: Sharmila

Kalluru (Kurnool dist), April 23 (INN): Drawing a contrast between the five-year prosperous term of YSR and the preceding nine-year dark age of TDP, Sharmila has appealed to the people to vote for YSRCP fan symbol to bring back the good days of welfare and development.

'You have seen the five year term of YSR during which all sections of people were happy as he ensured that the welfare schemes reached to people while Chandrababu Naidu had always drifted away from people once elections are over and the Congress government which took over after the death of YSR has either diluted or done away with all his welfare schemes.

The stark contrast is very much in the open and has been the experience of a multitude of people of the state and I appeal you to vote for YSRCP and strengthen the hands of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who will bring back the golden period of YSR,' she said while addressing a public meeting as part of the YSR Jana Bheri electioneering here on Wednesday.

When YSR was in power, he ensured that farmers got MSP, free power, water and waived interest on loans and loans, empowered women with pavala vadi scheme and provided social justice by launching fees reimbursement scheme for students who wanted to go for technical and higher education. Jagayagnam has been the flagship programme under which he planned to bring in one crore acres of additional land under cultivation.

The number of houses he built in the State was a shade less than the national figure and he provided pensions to 71 lakh persons while the figure in TDP term was a meager 16 lakh. Aarogyasri has brought quality treatment to the reach of the common people and there was no hike in prices of fertilizers, seeds, RTC fares, power charges nor did he impose any fresh taxes but carried out all the welfare schemes successfully and stood as model Chief Minister in the country, she said.

Chandrababu Naidu lacks honesty and sincerity in his words and deeds. He has increased power charges eight times in as many years and his government has taken many anti-people decisions. He has been speaking of the impracticable loan waiver now but did he ever even consider waiving of at least interest on farm loans while he was chief minister for nine years, she asked.

Kiran Kumar Reddy, who came in as a sealed cover Chief Minister, has either diluted or shelved the welfare schemes of YSR and burdened the people with a whopping 32,000 crore in the name of power charges and surcharges.

Naidu instead of questioning him has joined hands and saved Congress in the state and Centre. The TDP leader has issued a whip to save the Kiran Kumar Reddy government when a no-confidence motion was moved by us. Naidu was also responsible for the division of the state and the letter he has given has emboldened Congress to bifurcate the state.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the other hand has opposed the Congress policies and took up dharnas for the cause of students, farmers, weavers and to keep the state united. He is a leader with credibility and vision who can steer the state towards development and I appeal you to vote of YSRCP fan symbol to bring back the golden era of YSR.
