Vizag will be Los Angeles of east: BJP Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh BJP has vowed to make Vizag as the Los Angeles of the East apart from giving importance to the development of infrastructure giving boost to employment generation.
The party released its manifesto for Seemandhra in Hyderabad office on Friday. Giving an insight about the manifesto senior leader of the party, S V Seshagiri Rao said Vizag has many advantages to be the world class city.
The city has many tourist destinations and it can be made into Los Angeles of the East, said Seshagiri Rao. Stating that the coming government in Delhi would be of BJP, Rao said that his party would provide special status for AP for a period of ten years.
The BJP leader said that if a need arises for making changes in constitution the party would do that to restore common capital, law and order to Governor and Article 371D.
The party would take out most care to complete the Polavaram project, which is mentioned in the AP Reorganization act. The government would provide Rs 25 lakh as compensation to the family which is displaced because of the project and if needed alternative land would also be given. His party would complete the pending irrigation projects in Seemandhra within two to three years.
The BJP leader said that his party government would provide nine hour uninterrupted power to the farm sector. A fund with Rs 1000 crore will be earmarked for the minimum support price.
There will be cold storage units in every Assembly constituency. The party would pitch for industrial corridor between Vizag and Chennai. Replying to a question on the relevance of manifesto when the party was contesting in 13 seats, Rao said that his party would include the BJP's manifesto in the common minimum program of BJP-TDP government.
"There are many parties in the country contesting in mere 60 seats but still they come out with manifesto. They later include their manifesto into common minimum program of the government at the Centre," said Rao.
He said that the government would ensure temple money will not be miss used. Sudeesh Rambotla said that his party would make Andhra Pradesh into Swarnaandhra and people would feel happy that they have got separated.
