Naidu's promises are false: Sharmila
Obuladevara Cheruvu (Ananthapuram district), April 26 (INN): Criticising TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu for his false promises ahead of the elections and trying to emulate YSR by parroting his welfare schemes Sharmila has said the TDP leader lacks sincerity and is not in the habit of keeping his word.
While YSR has carried out all the welfare schemes during his five year term without imposing any fresh taxes or increasing charges of public utilities, Chandrababu Naidu has increased power charges eight times in eight years, Sharmila said here as part of the YSR Jana Bheri election campaign on Saturday.
The Congress government after YSR death has diluted all the welfare schemes of YSR and imposed taxes and increased all charges collecting Rs 32,000 cores on power charges. Prices of essential commodities have skyrocketed during this period.
Chandrababu Naidu, instead of questioning the Kiran Kumar Reddy government, has joined hands and saved the Congress at the centre and state. When we moved a no- confidence motion against Kiran Kumar Reddy government, he has issued a whip and shielded the Congress government.
With elections coming up, he is campaigning with his false promises and at times trying to emulate YSR. He is speaking of waiver of loans, health care, free power and such facilities.
'It is surprising that these things did not cross his mind when he was in power for nine years. He is a habitual liar and never keeps his promise and this is a proven fact.
I appeal you to vote for YSRCP fan symbol and strengthen the hands of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who will carry out all the YSR welfare schemes along with others as he wants your welfare and development,' she said.
Chandrababu Naidu has backstabbed NTR and usurped party and power from him and we cannot expect morals from such a person.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the other hand always sticks to his promise and he continued the Odarpu Yatra despite Delhi opposing it. False cases were foisted on him and he was jailed for 16 months without showing a proper charge.
I appeal you to give YSRCP a big win and elect YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as Chief Minister, she said.
