YSRCP will give a transparent govt.: Vijayamma

Ichchapuram (Srikakulam dist), April 28 (INN): Appealing to the people to vote for a leader who can give them a clean and transparent governance like YSR, YS Vijayamma has said that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will carry forward his legacy and balance welfare and development.

'We have seen governments before and after YSR that have been very taxing while YSR has given a very soothing touch through his welfare schemes without imposing any fresh taxes. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will continue his legacy and provide a transparent government and I appeal to you to vote for YSRCP fan symbol to witness the YSR era back,' she said while addressing road-show here on Monday.

'Your vote is precious and there is need to elect a leader who shows concern for you and draft welfare schemes that benefit you and infuse faith and assurance for a welfare state. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has always been in the forefront in taking up people's cause and holding deekshas and dharnas.

TDP and Congress leaders are always drifting away from people and land only when elections are due unlike YSRCP which is with the people and for the people. I appeal you to vote for YSRCP fan symbol and strengthen the hands of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who will usher in development in the new state from infrastructure development to building of a new state capital to airports to seaports and industrial corridors,' she said.

'Our family has been with you and fought every battle on your behalf against the Congress government while TDP has been hand-in-glove with the state and Central governments.

When the Kiran Kumar Reddy government has imposed heavy taxes and hiked the power charges to a tune of Rs 32,000 crores we moved a no-confidence motion while Chandrababu Naidu has issued a whip and saved the Congress government.

He has been working in tandem with Congress and gave an unconditional letter in favour of the division of the State while we quit our posts and held dharnas to keep the state united.

YSR has brought in welfare schemes like Aarogyasri, pavala vaddi, fees reimbursement and Jagayagnam, which were punctured by the Congress government and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will revive them after coming to power.

Raising the local problem, she said 'we will also take up the Vamsadhara issue. To carry out all these we need your mandate and winning all the seats added to a five seats in Telangana region will place us in a position to get more Central funds to expedite the development process.'

Others may come to lure you with false promises. We have seen the nine year misrule of Chandrababu Naidu and the five year anti-people policies of Congress government after the death of YSR.

Chandrababu Naidu has done away with TDP polls promises of NTR and increased the price of Rs 2 kg rice, lifted prohibition and defused subsidised power scheme. He has increased power charges eight times in eight years and was very rude towards, students, anganwadi workers and farmers.

He is now promising to waive farm and DWACRA loans which account for Rs 1.50 lakh cores which are more than the state budget. It is an impossible task and he is bluffing. He is promising one job per family without knowing that there are 3.5 crores families in the state.

While he was in power he has closed down about 75 PSUs and sacked 26,000 government employees and sold the factories in cooperative sector to his close associates for throwaway prices. This process has affected nearly 7 lakh workers.

Do not take his bait as he is known to ditch people. He has backstabbed his father-in-law is a known fact.

Like YSR has signed the files immediately after swearing-in providing free power to farmers and waiving power dues, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will sign five files which will provide education to two children from each family through Amma Vodi scheme, enhance pensions to Rs 700, create a Market Stabilisation and Calamity Fund to save farmers from market fluctuations, floods and drought. He will also waive DWACRA loans and decentralize administration.

This apart, he will also build 50 lakh houses in five years, provide 150 units of power for Rs 100, provide seven hours power supply in day time and the new state would be having surplus power by 2019. He will also bear Rs 100 subsidy for gas cylinder and close down belt shops besides employing local women into police jobs, she said.
