Seemandhra will be country's top State: Modi Bhimavaram, May 1 (INN): Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Thursday promised to develop Seemandhra region as the country's top State.
Addressing public meetings at different places in Seemandhra region, Modi said that the Seemandhra had more potential than Gujarat. He promised that he would give top priority to Seemandhra if TDP-BJP combine is voted to power.
Accusing the Congress of backstabbing the Seemandhra, he also targeted YSRCP by appealing to the people not to vote in favour of those who looted the country as well as the State. He asked people to vote for TDP and BJP candidates.
Modi said the Seemandhra region needs an experienced leader like TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. 'If you do not want Scamandhra, vote for TDP-BJP to make Seemandhra as Swarnandhra', he said. He also claimed that he shares the same vision with Naidu.
Addressing the meetings, Chandrababu Naidu described the BJP-TDP alliance as a necessity. He alleged that the Congress divided the State only for votes and seats. He also alleged that TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao had no control over his words. 'If he fails to control his language, I will increase my cycle speed and crush him,' he said.
Interestingly, Naidu's sister-in-law and BJP's Rajampet candidate Daggubati Purandeswari shared the dais at Madanapalle public meeting. However, Naidu did not mention her name although he appealed to the people to vote in favour of BJP candidates.
Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan and BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu also addressed the meetings.
