Cong will retain power in Telangana: DS
Hyderabad : Former Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee chief and a strong aspirant for chief minister post Dharmapuri Srinivas on Sunday asserted that Congress will form first government in Telangana State.
Talking to media at his residence on Sunday, Srinivas maintained that the Congress would get majority of seats and will come to power in the Telangana State.
Referring to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Srinivas said some political parties are playing 'mind game' and expressed anguish saying that the parties are trying to mislead the people with false promises.
With support of some regional parties, the Congress will form the government at the Centre, Srinivas observed saying that there is no chance for the BJP to come to power, internal squabbles in BJP will not allow Narendra Modi to become Prime Minister.
The Congress kept its promise of giving statehood and the Telangana people will certainly give power to the Congress, he said. Huge turnout in the general elections made it clear that the Congress will get the needed number of seats, he said. 'We will take active role in reconstructing the Telangana State', Srinivas maintained.
