Bharathi confident of landslide victory for YSRC Hyderabad: The election game was on and about 3.68 crore electors will decide the fate of 333 Lok Sabha and 2,241 Assembly candidates.
Already few of the noted leaders utilized their vote and expressed confidence of winning. YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy exercised his franchise at Pulivendula and accompanied by his brother and Kadapa MP candidate YS Avinash Reddy.
Jagan's wife Bharathi also casts her vote along with her sister-in-law Sharmila. While speaking with media Bharathi expressed confidence of winning more than 150 seats.
The stakes are very high as these elections are a do-or-die battle for Telugu Desam Party and possibly a now-or-never chance for Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress (YSRC).
Although all major political parties are in fray from 175 Assembly constituencies and 25 Lok Sabha segments, the tug of the war is between TDP-BJP combine and YSR Congress party
The results of the elections are unpredictable and both the parties expressing their confidence over winning majority seats. It would be very risky to stick one's neck out and predict who will come out with flying colours in the battle for Residuary Andhra Pradesh.
Voting will take place from 7 AM to 6 PM in 165 constituencies. In the remaining 10 Maoist affected areas, two constituencies will have voting till 4 PM and the remaining eight will have polling till 5 PM.
A total of 40,709 polling stations have been set up across the region. The Election Commission has also appointed nearly 5,000 micro-observers to supervise the polling.
