Paritala Sriram kept under house arrest Hyderabad: Anantapuram police have today confined Paritala Sriram, son of Rapthadu Assembly candidate Paritala Sunita, in their home at Venkatapuram in Anantapur district on the eve of polling. The police have informed that the decision was taken to steer clear of any untoward incidents in view of the elections in this region.
From the other end, the police have also detained a Telugu Desam Party leader Deepak Reddy at their residence at Rayadurgam in Anantapur district. It is learnt that as a deterrent gauge the said leader has been confined to home to prevent from any ill-fated incident happening in the area.
In the same district, on Wednesday morning, a person was killed when he consumed adulterated liquor offered to him by some political party to lure him in polls to vote for their party candidate.
This incident happened at Nalla Cheruvu in Anantapur district. In the same incident, four others have become sternly unwell and were rushed to the hospital.
