Naidu sure of victory, attacks Governor HYDERABAD: Visibly elated with the high voter turnout, Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu appeared confident of storming back to power. Speaking to the media at his residence here in the evening, the former chief minister said, 'TDP-BJP combine will win hands down, 100 per cent.'
Pointing out that the war was between the TDP and the YSRC, he said, the Congress is history in Seemandhra and former chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy's Jai Samaikyandra Party is nowhere in the picture.
However, he was unhappy with the authorities, particularly Governor ESL Narasimhan, for allegedly giving a free hand to the YSRC leaders and cadres to flout the election code with impunity.
'Though YSRC leaders and workers are blatantly violating the poll code, with utter disregard to law and order, the Governor maintained a stoic silence and did not initiate any measure to put an end to such undemocratic acts,' he alleged. Naidu said that in spite of all their efforts, YSRC leaders had failed to bring down the poll percentage.
'They tried every trick in the book to keep the poll percentage down. They resorted to terror tactics at polling stations and indulged in distribution of fake currency,' he alleged.
