Ganta-Lagadapati meet causes flutter VISAKHAPATNAM: Former Congress Lok Sabha member Lagadapati Rajagopal created a flutter when he visited former minister and TDP leader Ganta Srinivasa Rao at his residence here. Later, it was clarified that both the leaders had a cordial meeting following Srinivasa Rao's invitation to Rajagopal who was in the city to attend a wedding at Narsipatnam.
Rajagopal had resigned from the Lok Sabha and kept away from active politics for sometime in protest against the state bifurcation. He later gave logistical support to former chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in his fight against the state division and supported the latter when he launched 'Jai Samaikyandhra Party'.
He appeared before the media during the elections to spell out his predictions on the poll results and claimed that Telugu Desam Party would come to power in Andhra Pradesh. Amidst speculations that Rajagopal might join the TDP following his prediction, the meeting between him and Srinivasa Rao assumed significance.
