Man facing 23 yrs in prison in US arrested in city HYDERABAD: The CID arrested a 46-year-old American national, Livingston Amit Muddamalle, for killing his live-in partner back home in the US in 2005. Interpol had served a red corner notice against him. He was picked up from Madhavapuri Colony.
He will be produced in a local court and later, armed with a transit warrant, the police will take him to the Patiala House Court in Delhi which deals with extradition cases.
Livingston was in fact a native of Hyderabad but took US citizenship and lived in Florida and Rockport, Texas. In Feb 2007, he had pleaded guilty to the murder of his partner Hermila Hernandez (32).
Her body was found with a fractured skull and bullet wounds in South Padre Island in Sept, 2005. On the day of his guilty plea, Livingston walked out of a Cameron County courtroom and did not return on April 14, 2007, when his 23-year prison sentence was to begin.
