Telangana to experience dry, hot, sultry climate VISAKHAPATNAM: With the trough that spread between Vidharbha and South Tamil Nadu dissipating, no heavy rains were recorded across the state Sunday.
The associated cyclonic circulation extending up to mid tropospheric levels over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining Odisha and Chhattisgarh, also cooled down and the Met officials have predicted dry weather over the next couple of days.
According to the Meteorological department authorities, rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while dry weather will prevail over Rayalaseema. The temperatures are like to touch new highs and reach the peak during mid-May over the next couple of weeks.
'Temperatures across the state particularly in Rayalaseema and Telangana are expected to rise during this period. The maximum temperatures rose at most places over Telangana and many places over Rayalaseema but markedly fell one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours,' an officer at Cyclone Warning Centre in Visakhapatnam said.
The highest maximum temperature of 40 degree celsius was recorded in Tirupati Sunday. The temple town is usually hotter than other towns.
