Will cut tongues of rumour mongers, warns Harish Hyderabad: Dismissing reports of an imminent split in TRS, party politburo member T Harish Rao said it was nothing but wishful thinking by a few Congress and TDP leaders.
He cautioned these leaders against attributing motives to him on the subject and warned that he would 'slice their tongues' if they did not mend their ways.
Rao, in press release issued here on Sunday, said that TRS would continue to work under the leadership of party president K Chandrasekhara Rao who led the Telangana movement to its logical conclusion.
Accusing TDP as a back-stabber's party, Rao alleged that they look at other party leaders with their own perception. He said that unable to digest the fact that TRS' victory was inevitable, certain TDP leaders like Rajender Prasad were making meaningless and mad comments to malign the image of TRS.
'This is my final warning to them. If they won't give up talking nonsense, I will slice their tongue,' Harish Rao said.
Stating that he was not like TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, who stoops to any level to grab power, Harish Rao alleged that TDP leaders were trying to confuse TRS cadre by making baseless allegations.
He also alleged that TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah and other Congress leaders were indulging unethical methods to grab the power without public support.
He said their dreams would never come true and added that TRS would definitely form the government. Refuting the TPCC chief's allegations against TRS, Harish Rao dubbed Ponnala as a failed TPCC Chief.
