It's a historic victory: Chandrababu
Hyderabad: Municipal Elections results are out and Telugu Desam party has secured majority seats across Seemandhra. The results of municipal elections left Chandrababu in jubilant mode and he termed this victory as historical and attributed the success to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Chandrababu wrote on twitter 'The Municipal & Corporation election results show TDP's victory has mirrored peoples' confidence towards development & effective governance.' Babu tweeted.
Chandra Babu thanked party workers for their extensive hard work behind this thumping majority. Alleging that the people have faced problems during ten-year rule of Congress party, the TDP chief expressed his gratitude and thanked party workers and leaders, who strove for the stunning victory of the party.
'The feat was result of united efforts of party activists leading to the party's victory in every district of the Seemandhra region from Srikakulam to Anantapur where opposition parties had to face defeat' he said.
While responding on Telangana babu opined that Telangana people voted for Congress as part of thanksgiving as the latter has formed the T-state. He said that TDP will play significant role in Telangana in coming future.
