YSRCP not bothered with municipal poll results Hyderabad: The municipal elections results have come out and in the seemandhra TDP has won with a fair majority over its rival YSRCP. But YSRCP seems to be not bothered about the results and claimed this as expected one. After analyzing the reasons for their defeat YSRCP reiterates civic body election results are no curtain raiser for the general elections results.
Despite local bodies' results favoring TDP, YSRCP official spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao insists that TDP's hopes will be upset and that YSRCP will win the assembly elections. He said that they had anticipated a pro-TDP vote in urban areas. He expressed confidence that the pattern would be very different for assembly and Lok Sabha seats.
The spokesperson justified the results saying TDP has a stronger presence in the urban areas but expressed confidence it will be reverse when it comes to the assembly and Lok Sabha seats.Gattu said that TDP only have four days to rejoice as they are going to loss in the Assembly elections.On May 16, the party would meet to decide if Jagan has to be made the CM, he said.
It remains to be seen whether TDP's euphoria will be short-lived as alleged by YCP or will continue even after May 16, when the crucial results of the general elections will be out.For now all eyes on ZPTC and MPTC results as it will be going to give a clear opinion of Rural voters.
