Congress bigwigs bite the dust Hyderabad: Congress party received death blow and many of its top league leaders comes under hamper of defeat.Although the Congress party divided the state, the voters of Telangana heartily believed the whole credit of the separate state would go to KCR .
Both the Pradesh Congress Committee Presidents Ponnala Lakshmaiah (in Telangana) and Raghuveera Reddy (in Seema Andhra) lost their seats.
Several ministers in Telangana who took active part in Telangana agitation also lost due to Anti-Government vote. People of Telangnaa seem to have not believed the words of the party.
According to the trends, the party is likely to win around 20 assembly constituencies, which is very lesser number than the expected. TDP and BJP combine has performed better than expectations and looks like its heading towards the second place.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA contestant, former minister and actor P Babu Mohan won with a thumping majority of around 40,000 votes in Andhol. Former PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana got defeated in Cheepurupalli Assembly Constituency with a huge margin of over 21,000 votes
