TRS, TDP break into a dance, silence YSRC, Cong
HYDERABAD: The Telangana Bhavan erupted in celebrations Friday as did the NTR Trust Bhavan as soon as it was clear the TRS in Telangana and the TDP in Seemandhra were going to win. The celebrations at the NTR Trust Bhavan were far more enthusiastic as the TDP had been out of power for a decade. The same scenes unfolded at the BJP office too.
However, the situation at the Gandhi Bhavan, the Congress headquarters, and at the office of the YSR Congress, was in sharp contrast with the former wearing a deserted look and the latter plunged in grief.
At the TRS HQ, party cadres whistled and applauded as the results trickled in, clapping for every fallen Congress head. They danced to the tunes of folk songs and the latest Bollywood hit numbers, besides distributing sweets and bursting crackers.
And, a small drone-like device fitted with the party flag hovered above the Telangana Bhavan capturing the historic moments. Not far away from here, at the NTR Trust Bhavan, TDP cadres began celebrating by 10 a.m. itself. The yellow brigade performed pooja and danced to drum beats.
The plight of YSRC cadres evoked sympathy. They had hired a contingent of private security guards to control mobs, all in anticipation of their victory. But that was not to be. All the guards were seen loitering around in the office as the party lost in Seemandhra.
