Pawan's words of wisdom for KCR, Naidu HYDERABAD: Savouring the TDP-BJP victory, Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan has a word of advice for YSRC - mend its ways and play the role of a constructive opposition. As for the TDP, he cautioned it against going the YSR way. Excerpts from his media interaction
Q What is your take on the poll outcome?
Pawan: The mandate is against the looting policy of the erstwhile Rajaekhara Reddy government and the Congress. People were vexed with the corrupt rule of the Congress, especially that of YSR.
Q Why you did not field your party candidates?
Pawan: I did not want to split the votes. My wish has been fulfilled and TDP has come to power. I am very happy with the TDP-BJP victory.
Q What is your advice to the TRS chief?
Pawan: My congratulations to TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao on securing a comfortable majority. We understood the emotions of the people during the Telangana movement. I suggest Rao desist from uttering harsh words against Seemandhras. If not, it will pose a threat to the country.
Q What are your future plans?
Pawan: I will expand my party within two months. If the situation demands, I am ready to undertake a padayatra too. My advice to the TDP government is not to go on a SEZ spree like that of YSR govt.
Q Why did you support Modi?
Pawan: When I visited Gujarat, I was impressed with the development and Modi's abilities. The country needs such a leader as PM. I also advise Naidu to fulfil his promises.
