YSRCLP meet on May 21 at Idupulapaya HYDERABAD: The YSR Congress Legislature Party (YSRCLP) meet will be held at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district on May 21.
The newly-elected MLAs of YSRC in Seemandhra will elect their new leader. The meeting is a mere formality as party president YS Jagan Mohan is expected to be elected unanimously as the legislature leader.
The meeting assumes significance as leaders are expected to introspect on the party's poll performance and discuss the future course of action.
Moreover, as the YSRC will be the main opposition in the Seemandhra Assembly, the leadership is expected to discuss strategies to counter the government on various issues. Promises made during electioneering are also likely to be discussed during the meeting.
The YSRC won in 67 out of the 175 Assembly seats and eight out of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in Seemandhra in the recently-concluded elections.
Jagan will pay tributes to his father and former chief minsiter the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy at the Idupulapaya estate before the meeting.
