Why Jagan meeting NaMo? Hyderabad: In a surprise move, YSRC president YS Jaganmohan Reddy, licking the wounds inflicted by severe drubbing recieved in both Assembly and Lok Sabha polls choose to meet Prime Minister designate Narendra Modi in Delhi on Monday. Jagan, who aspired to be CM of Andhra Pradesh but mandated to sit in the opposition, is going to meet Modi along with his party MP's. Though Jagan and his MPs are expected to congratulate Modi for his stupendous victory in general elections 2014, political analysts believe that there is something more than meets the eye.
As soon as landing in Delhi, Jagan speaking to media persons said their team is going to meet Modi to seek more clarity on promises made by the union government at the time of bringing division bill to the parliament. Though Modi does not need their support, Jagan said his party is ready to extend issue based support to Modi.
According to media reports all of them will meet Narendra Modi and seek a clarity on the promises made by the union government at the time of state bifurcation. They will also request the help of union government for the pending projects in the stateYSRCP is going to seek a clarity from Narendra Modi on the promises made by the UPA government. The YSRCP team is expecting some more promises on some other issues too.
Jagan's dream of playing a kingmaker role at centre has been shattered as the BJP alone got enough seats in Lok Saba. Much to his shock, BJP was not in a mood to take his support as it is already allied with TDP. Sources say leaders of YSR Congress would also want the PM-elect to reassure them that his ally, Chandrababu Naidu, who will take over as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, will not persecute their leader on what they describe as false charges of corruption.
