Naidu offers prayer at Tirumala temple Tirumala, May 19: TDP chief and to be sworn in Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandra Babu Naidu offered prayers in the temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Monday. Naidu made his entry through Vaikuntham queue complex along with his wife Bhuvaneshwari and son N Lokesh and other party aides.
He was accorded warm welcome by the TTD chairman K Bapiraju, EO MG Gopal and others at the entrance of the temple. Later the chief priest of Tirumala Dr AV Ramana Dikshitulu explained him about the significance of various jewels adorned to Lord Venakteswara and also about kshetra mahatyam.
In Ranganayakula Mandapam the vedic pundits offered him Vedasirvachanam and TTD chairman and EO presented him swamivari prasadams amd a lamination photo of Lord.
Addressing media persons outside temple after darshan Naidu said, he prayed Lord to bless him with enough strength to develop the state in all fields. He said, being the world renowned Hindu temple, he will focus on maintaining sanctity of the temple.
