Pawan, no reason for Cong defeat, says Chiru Hyderabad: Right step or wrong step we don't know but Pawan Kalyan has made a perfect step by campaigning for BJP in this general election. Pawan Kalyan from the beginning attracted many by choosing the perfect side that nation wished to have.
Even as the BJP and TDP leaders are extending gratitude to Jana Sena Chief and actor Pawan Kalyan for his active role in campaign during the general elections, the Congress leader and his elder brother Chiranjeevi is reluctant to give him any credit.
Talking to media persons at Indira Bhavan, he stated that there was no Pawan effect on the Congress which suffered a serious drubbing in the elections. "There was an anti-Congress wave in the entire country. So, Pawan's campaigning had no effect," Chiranjeevi said on Monday.
'There are many reasons for the party's debacle including bifurcation and prevailing situation in the country. We failed to campaign during the elections, while TDP and BJP combine made it to public in a big way', a reluctant Chiranjeevi admitted. If BJP leadership itself feels Pawan's campaign impact has not done well, the question is how can any success be attributed to Pawan Kalyan campaigning for the party.
Pawan Kalyan, has, however, got his due in the form of Narendra Modi thanking Pawan Kalyan on twitter. This may be the first time that a prime ministerial candidate like Narendra Modi has given more importance to a film star.
TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu too has thanked Pawan Kalyan as the party, which has got a good number of seats fill form the government in residual Andhra Pradesh.
Other side Some of the elected representatives from both the TDP and the BJP are paying a 'thanksgiving' visit to Pawan Kalyan in the city.
