KCR averse to move into CM camp office Hyderabad: TRS Chief Minister-designate K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is averse to moving to the sprawling Camp Office that was constructed for the CM at Begumpet during the regime of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, seems to be contemplating to move to a suitable place somewhere in the Kundanbagh area near Begumpet.
There has been a sudden activity to give a facelift to the entire area from Rajiv Gandhi statue to the Kundanbagh area since Monday.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that initially KCR will have a small ministry consisting of six ministers. If KCR is keen to shift to Kundanbagh the officials will have to take at least two or three huge bungalows there and convert them into his official residence-cum-Camp Office.
All this will have to be done on a war-footing as KCR would like to shift to the new place after his swearing-in as the first CM of Telangana.
KCR is a staunch believer in vastu and astrology and his vastu experts have told him that the present Camp Office had many vastu defects and suggested some changes. But Rao, its said, was not very keen to move into that building.
Security officials, however, told him that he should move to another place as barricading and regulating traffic near his present house, which was located in a narrow road in Jubilee Hills, was a difficult task. KCR has been put under Z plus security category based on threat perception.
Meanwhile, the TRS president continued his meetings with party leaders and officials to see that governance can begin soon after he assumes office.
For the last four days, senior IAS, IPS officers, leaders of different Telangana employees unions, and advocates have been meeting him and efforts are being made to prepare a blueprint on various issues.
Hectic discussions are also on with regard to the composition of the new cabinet. It is said that the DGP office has transferred Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner Shivadhar Reddy as head of the Telangana Intelligence wing following a request by KCR.
Several other senior bureaucrats including National Police Academy director Aruna Bahuguna, who is in race for the post of first DGP in Telangana, called on KCR. Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma also met him.
