Will come to power in 2019, says Jagan KADAPA: Unfazed by his party's inability to come to power in the Residuary AP state due to its not-so-good show in the recent elections, YSRC president Y S Jagan exuded confidence that his party would come to power in the 2019 Assembly elections.
He said this while interacting with his party leaders, including Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, Kadapa MLA Amjad Basha and Mydukur MLA S Raghurami Reddy and several MPTC and ZPTC members, at Idupulapaya after offering prayers at his father's memorial at a day after getting elected as the YSRCLP leader. He said he would highlight the problems being faced by people in the state Assembly.
Jagan Mohan Reddy discussed the selection of candidates for the ZP Chairpersons, Kadapa Municipal Corporation deputy mayor and MPP posts with his party leaders. He suggested the selection of candidates who were acceptable to all concerned.
Later, Jagan Mohan Reddy left for Pulivendula to attend a marriage at the CSI Church there. He met the ZPTC and MPTC members of Pulivendula constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagan said he would play a constructive role in the Assembly and make all efforts to get the problems of the people resolved.
He demanded that special funds should be allocated for the development of backward districts in Seemandhra region. The YSRCLP leader said he would focus on irrigation water facilities in the constituency.
'I will strive for supply of drinking water to every village of Seemandhra and also provision of education and medical facilities, roads and other infrastructure'', he added.
