Rename Krishna district after NTR
VIJAYAWADA: Krishna district's Mini Mahanadu was held at the TDP office in Vijayawada. It is a prelude to Mahanadu to be held in Hyderabad on May 27 and 28. The venue wore a festive look with TDP registering a thumping victory in the general elections.
Buoyed up by the victory, the Krishna district TDP has passed a resolution in the Mini Mahanadu to rename Krishna district as NTR district and Bharat Ratna to NTR.
Also resolutions were passed seeking support to agriculture, development of infrastructure in the district, construction of Bandar port, expansion of road and rail network among others.
On the occasion, TDP district president and Mylavaram MLA-elect Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said that people had elected the TDP as they believed that Chandrababu Naidu alone can develop Seemandhra post-bifurcation.
He reiterated that all the promises made during election campaigning would be fulfilled. Vijayawada MP-elect Kesineni Nani, MLAs-elect Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Kagita Venkata Rao among others participated.
