YSRC leaders of EG may fall for Operation Aakarsh Rajahmundry: YSR Congress Party (YSRC) is in a state of flux as some of its elected and defeated people's representatives in the district are learnt to have been show'ing interest in joining the victorious Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
It may be recalled that Nandyal MP SPY Reddy, who has won the election on YSRC ticket, has already mi'grated to the yellow party. YSRC cadre in East Godavari district are dazed at the development which is the fall'out of Operation Akarsh set in motion by TDP.
They fear that some of the MLAs, MPTC, ZPTC members and municipal ward members and corporators might gravitate towards TDP in the days to come.
While the defeated leaders are in distress, those who were elected on YSRC ticket are said to be showing inter'est to in being part of the TDP expecting a better deal.
The YSRC leaders, who are desirous of joining TDP, are weighing their options in case the party issues a whip against defections. YSRC has bagged five seats in the dis'trict in the recent Assembly elections.
Lack of coordination between leaders and the cadre is said to be the main reason for the party's debacle in the elections.
