KCR not to invite Naidu for swearing-in Hyderabad, May 30: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K Chandrasekhara Rao is going to take charge as first chief minister of the new state Telangana. Appointed day for formation of Telangana state is June 2nd and KCR is taking oath on the same day.
According to party sources Chandrasekhar Rao is not keen on inviting his Seemandhra counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu for his swearing-in as first Chief Minister of Telangana.
TRS, the sources say, has decided not to invite Chief Minister designate of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu or any national leaders, Instead they have decided to invite the family members of Telangana Martyrs.
Both the leaders are not in talking terms ever since they have been indulging in personal attacks against each other during the past few years which continued post the election results.
It is nothing but a gentility to extend invite to leaders of reputation either by writing to them or calling them personally which is not going to happen in the case of Telangana Chief Minister's swearing-in on June 2.
Reacting on this a TDP leader said, 'Even if he (KCR) changes his mind and invite, it is doubtful if Chandrababu will attend the ceremony, similarly Chandrababu also may not be inclined to invite KCR for his swearing-in on June 8 near Guntur'.
This unusual thing may bring more bitterness among the two would be Chief Ministers of the neighboring states, especially when the issues pertaining to bifurcation of the state bound to create controversies.
On the historic morning, KCR will first lay a wreath at the Martyrs Memorial to commemorate those who laid down their lives in separate statehood agitations and then drive to Raj Bhavan for the swearing in ceremony at 8 15 AM.
