High Court gets new name board HYDERABAD: The name of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh was changed to 'High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the state of Telangana and the state of Andhra Pradesh' with effect from Monday. Accordingly, new name boards have come up at the entrance of the court.
The court registry has recently designated the AP High Court as the common high court for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. The common high court will henceforth issue its orders in the name of High Court of Judicature for the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, the Central Government issued directions to the state chief secretary on Saturday that the officers of district and subordinate courts in the State of AP shall continue to function in accordance with provisions of AP Reorganisation Act until further orders.
