Telangana state govt to continue schemes HYDERABAD: The Telangana State government would review existing schemes like Amma Hastham, Civil Supplies Minister Etela Rajender has said.
After meeting department officials at the Secretariat, Rajender said the government had no intention to scrap the schemes, but they would be reviewed. Telangana State has surplus budget and all the assurances given by the TRS would be implemented.
Rajender directed the officials to procure paddy and other agricultural produce that has got wet in the recent rains. IKP centres would be opened to purchase the paddy and see that the farmers would get remunerative prices. Farmers need not resort to distress sale, he added.
Fish Medicine:
The annual fish medicine for Asthma patients would be distributed this year on June 8, Bathina Harinath Goud has said. As there was some problem in getting the Exhibition Grounds at Nampally for the distribution of the fish medicine, Harinath Goud called on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
Goud said the Chief Minister responded positively and directed the officials to allot the Exhibition Grounds to Bathina family for two days. Officials would conduct a review on Wednesday and take a final decision on the issue.
