D-Block houses State Cabinet ministers
Hyderabad : State government allotted chambers to the newly-appointed cabinet ministers in state Secretariat.
Interestingly, all the ministers have been allotted various chambers in D Block of the Secretariat. Deputy Chief Ministers of Telangana, Md Mahmood Ali and T Rajaiah, have been allotted room no. 430 and room No. 314 respectively.
Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy and Finance Minister Etela Rajender have been allotted room no. 119 and room no. 456 respectively by the authorities.
Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy was allotted room no. 261 in the D block. Another cabinet minister T Harish Rao has been allotted room no. 151 and Excise and Prohibition Minister T Padma Rao Goud will discharge his duties from room no. 358 of the same block.
Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy and Panchayat Raj and IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao have been allotted room no. 220 and room no. 345.
Forest and Environment Minister Jogu Ramanna and Education Minister G Jagadeesh Reddy have been allotted room no. 116 and room no.142 in the D block respectively. Principal Secretary to Government (Political) Ajay Misra issued orders to this effect.
According to official sources, many cabinet ministers requested the General Administration (Secretariat Building) Department to allot them chambers in D Block as the block had been built as per vaastu requirements.
Meanwhile, the State government also allotted residential quarters to the newly appointed Telangana ministers at Ministers Quarters in Banjara Hills on Monday.
Quarter no. 12 has been allotted to Finance Minister Etela Rajender while Quarter no. 7 has been allotted to Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao. Similarly, Quarter no. 15 and No. 5 were allotted to Education Minister G Jagadeesh Reddy and Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy respectively.
