Woman, mother brutally killed over affair VIJAYAWADA: A woman and her daughter were beheaded at Mallavalli village in Bapulapadu mandal of Krishna district early Thursday. The incident has sent shock waves in the village.
The deceased, who have been identified as Atchi Chandamma (53) and her daughter Pallapu Chinni (23), were labourers.
According to the police, the victims were attacked in sleep in their house at the village and later their heads and trunks were separated from the bodies. The heads were thrown near their house. Police are suspecting P Sivaiah, a fruit vendor of Agiripalli mandal, in the double murder case.
It is said that Chinni, who lost her husband about three years ago, had allegedly maintained close relationship with the accused for sometime. But she distanced herself from him recently for unknown reasons.
Nuzvid DSP K Surya Chandra Rao said that the accused had been absconding and expressed hope that they would soon nab him as they had constituted five special teams.
