Telugu student Abhinay passes away in US
Indianapolis, USA: Abhinay Reddy Nyalakonda, hailing from Karimnagar, who met with a serious accident on last Saturday in Terre Haute, Indiana has passed away despite all attempts to save his life.
Abhinay drowned in an 8 foot deep swimming pool, while he was getting some exercise, due to spasm and seizure which unfortunately was not noticed by anyone for almost 20 mins. By the time someone noticed and called for help, his lungs and brain were damaged due to lack of oxygen. After administering CPR for about 7 minutes, he started breathing and was immediately airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He has been in coma since then.
Abhinay has been a very bright student and was scheduled to graduate this December from Indiana State University. He was one of those students who was very ambitious, responsible and fun loving. He hails from an agricultural family with a lot of expectations that he was gearing to meet in less than six months. His family is deeply affected by this tragedy.
North America Telugu Society (NATS) has been working with Greater Indianapolis Telugu Association (GITA) regarding this incident. NATS in a press statement said, "We request the honorable members of Telugu community to support our Abhinay's family and stand by them and show the solidarity as they grieve through this unfortunate incident for their loved one.
