Venkaiah likely to unveil AP growth plans VIJAYAWADA: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Andhra Pradesh general secretary J Syam Kishore said here Friday that Union minister for urban development M Venkaiah Naidu is likely to unveil plans and schemes for the development of Andhra Pradesh.
He also said that three Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Seetaraman and Venkaiah Naidu will attend the swearing-in ceremony of AP CM-designate N chandrababu Naidu Sunday, near Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) in Guntur district.
Addressing a press conference here, Syam Kishore said that Venkaiah Naidu is coming to the city for the first time after assuming charge as the Union minister.
'Venkiah Naidu had fought to protect the interests of the Seemandhra in the Parliament in his capacity as Member of RS and succeeded in bringing pressure on the UPA government to announce a special package for Andhra Pradesh,' he said.
Syam Kishore also said that Naidu had already prepared a blue print for the development of Andhra Pradesh.
'Comprehensive development of Vijayawada - Guntur- Tenali, expansion of Vijayawada airport, coastal corridor and Visakhapatnam - Kakinada petro and chemical zone are high on his agenda.' he added.
Meanwhile, party workers and sympathisers are making arrangements in a big way to welcome Venkaiah Naidu Saturday. It is said that he would arrive at the Gannavaram airport around 10 am and come to the city in a car rally.
Party sympathisers, including traders, will felicitate Venkaiah Naidu at the Siddhartha College auditorium at Mogalrajapuram in the city in the afternoon.
