Man stabs wife to death, hangs self
VIZIANAGARAM: A man stabbed his wife to death allegedly suspecting her fidelity and later committed suicide by hanging himself at Vepada in the district late Thursday night.
The incident came to light Friday morning when the family members discovered the bodies and informed the police. However, the woman's mother alleged that her daughter's in-laws murdered her daughter and son-in-law over a property dispute. The Vallampudi police registered a case and took up investigation.
Vakada Demudu (23) of Vepada and Kona Bangaramma (20) of Bukkanaidu village in Vepada mandal were married about a year ago. Within a few months after their marriage, Demudu and his parents reportedly started harassing Bangaramma.
Demudu reportedly harassed his wife suspecting her fidelity. Unable to bear this, she left for her maternal home. However, Demudu went to his in-laws recently and convinced Bangaramma to return to Vepada. However, he continued to harass her.
Thursday night when Bangaramma was fast asleep, Demudu allegedly attacked her with a knife, killing her on the spot. He went into the agriculture fields behind their house where he committed suicide by hanging himself in a room.
