Decision on loan waiver not finalised, says Harish Rao HYDERABAD: Irrigation and marketing minister T Harish Rao has called upon the farmers not to be disheartened with the reports on farm loan waiver. 'The state government has not taken final decision nor finalised the modalities.
After holding a review meeting on functioning of the marketing department, Harish Rao said the government would strengthen the Rytu Bandhu programme to make it really useful to farmers.
When farmers did not get minimum support price (MSP), the government would intervene and see that all the produce was purchased from them.
He also assured that basic amenities would be provided at Indira Kranti Patham (IKP) centres. 'There are 150 markets in Telangana state.
