Naidu to go all out to build Swarnandhra GUNTUR: Addressing a mammoth gathering at his swearing-in ceremony, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed hopes of turning the truncated Andhra Pradesh into a 'poverty-free Swarnandhra'.
'Let us work together to overcome obstacles. Let us all together build a Swarnandhra Pradesh,' the CM said.
'All the elders in the Central Government have given their assurances for doing justice to the state and extend maximum cooperation for its development on all fronts.
Today, seeing all of them here has given me great courage and moral support. This in not just a swearing-in ceremony, but a dedication day, where we dedicate ourselves to building the state from scratch,' he said.
Reassuring the people of his state he said: 'There is no need to worry. Together, we will work hard and script a new future for the state. We are capable and we will prove it.'
He said he did not want to be sworn in as the CM at Hyderabad and had instead chosen Guntur. He assured the people that he would work for the 'decentralised growth of the state'.
Seeking cooperation from the people, the Chief Minister said he would work as 'Coolie Number 1' in the construction of the capital city of Andhra Pradesh.
'We have problems. There were doubts over the Polavaram project because of the Congress' game plan, but the NDA had given us assurance over it, as stated by Venkaiah Naidu.
We will work hard and with help and blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we will emerge stronger. I believe justice will be done,' he said.
Describing the day as a historic one, he reminded that it was at the very same place in 2008 that the Yuva Garjana was organised.
On the occasion, Naidu remembered the charismatic leader and TDP founder N T Rama Rao. He recalled the contributions made by Pingali Venkaiah, Potti Sriramulu, Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu, Alluri Seetharamaraju and Goutu Lachana.
