Portfolios for AP ministers to take time HYDERABAD: Newly inducted ministers into Andhra Pradesh Cabinet have to remain ministers without portfolios for another couple of days as their boss N Chandrababu Naidu wanted more time to allot them portfolios.
Naidu had an informal interaction with his new Cabinet at his residence here on Monday. Ministers KE Krishnamurthy, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Nimmakayala Chinna Rajappa, Kinjarapu Atchannaidu and others took part in the meeting which lasted for more than one hour.
Emerging from the meeting, the Chief Minister of AP disclosed that he would take some more time to allocate portfolios to his ministerial colleagues.
'Still, there is no clarity on the shortage and surplus of staff in various departments in Seemandhra after dividing them between the two States. Allocation of IAS and IPS officers for Seemandhra has not been done yet. I am now looking into the issue of availability of staff in each department. After getting clarity over this, I will allocate portfolios to ministers,' said Naidu.
He further disclosed that he would hold press conferences from Tuesday onwards to inform the people of Seemandhra on the financial position of new State as well as other subjects relating to bifurcation.
CABINET MEET IN VIZAG
Chandrababu Naidu said he will be holding the first meeting of his Cabinet in Visakhapatnam on June 12. 'I organised TDP's annual conclave in Hyderabad. Later, the TDLP's meeting was held at Tirupati.
After that, my swearing-in ceremony took place between Vijayawada and Guntur. Now, we are holding the first meeting of Cabinet in Visakhapatnam to bring regional balance while organising various key meetings,' he said. According to sources, Naidu is planning to start the first session of AP Assembly on June 19.
JAGAN FLAYED FOR LETTER
Hitting out at the YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for writing an open letter to him demanding immediate implementation of crop loan waiver scheme for all farmers, the AP Chief Minister said, 'I am committed to implementing loan waiver in such a way that it does justice to all farmers.
But, before implementing this scheme, we are trying to find financial resources in the cash-strapped AP. But, some of those leaders, who are inexperienced and have no administrative knowledge, are trying to make an issue out of it.'
