Naidu to bring out white papers on reality HYDERABAD: In order to place 'ground realities', particularly the real picture of the State's finances in front of the people and prepare a roadmap for development, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to bring out white papers on five key issues ' Human Resource Development, Infrastructure, Irrigation, Agriculture, Power and Governance.
He also directed officials to draft short and long-term plans involving all the sectors and come up with a vision document or in other words, a 100-day action plan.
Speaking to reporters after a review meeting with officials of the various departments at his residence here Tuesday, Naidu said the white papers would be published after the State Assembly session beginning June 19 and discussed at various fora.
'We will take all the key issues to the people and gather information and suggestions from them,' he said, adding a separate cell would be set up for the purpose. Suggestions received on the white papers will be incorporated in the budget.
The AP government is planning to take the 14th, 15th and 16th Finance Commissions as the basis for a vision document. 'We will incorporate all the good policies of Vision-2020 prepared by the TDP government in the past.
As the State has become smaller, we will draft plans and policies accordingly,' he explained. Expressing confidence that the Central government will help the State, the Chief Minister said he had urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide a level playing field for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh so that development takes place in both the States at the same pace.
'I am not asking for any favour but only justice. I expect the Centre to help my State financially and through pro-development policies,' he remarked. Replying to a question, Naidu said he would review all corruption cases of the last decade.
