Ameerpet road to be widened for Metro HYDERABAD: Greater Hyderabad municipal commissioner Somesh Kumar has asked officials concerned to acquire properties as quickly as possible for road-widening on the Punjagutta-Ameerpet stretch and called for shifting of electric poles to facilitate metro rail works.
All properties on the left hand side of metro rail corridor between the Ameerpet Interchange and Chowdary Mansion are to be acquired immediately by the town planning wing of GHMC.
Traffic police are to evict unauthorised hawkers from the footpaths. Demarcation of properties from Ameerpet to Punjagutta are to be undertaken by the town planning officials on Saturday for demolition.
It has been decided to expedite the work on viaduct at SR Nagar, acquisition of open spaces at Aditya Complex, Ever Car, Jade Infra immediately as per master plan to lay a road within a week for an additional lane of carriageway.
The commissioner, along with HMR MD NVS Reddy and other senior officials of HMR, GHMC and police inspected the metro rail works in Ameerpet, Punjagutta and Malakpet.
