Fulfill loan waiver promise, demands CPM VIJAYAWADA: CPM AP state secretary P Madhu has said that the Election Commission's has felt that his party has lost out to other political parties in the recent Parliamentary and Assembly elections as they have lured the electorate with huge amounts of money.
He has asked CM N Chandrababu Naidu to fulfill his promise of farm loan waiver and asked the TDP government to extend the fee reimbusrsement scheme to AP students pursuing studies in Telangana.
Addressing the media here Saturday, Madhu said major political parties had used helicopters and special flights apart from spending huge amounts of money in the elections.
Hoping that the Left parties would win the confidence of the people in the days to come, he made it clear that CPM would sort out the differences with CPI.
Madhu said 500 delegates attended the state committee meet held in the city Saturday and Friday. He said that regularisation of the services of contract employees and implementation of SC/ST Sub-Plan were some of the resolutions passed at the meeting.
