Anam brothers all set to join TDP NELLORE: Sparking speculations that the Anam brothers were all set to join the TDP, local Congress strongman and former Nellore Rural MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy urged all political parties to support the Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP government in the Residuary AP State.
Addressing a news conference -- the first by Reddy after his party's humiliating defeat in the recent Assembly and LS elections -- he said that this was necessary to ensure that the new state got the promised special status from the Centre.
Stating that it was too early to criticise the Naidu government for its decision to set up a committee to look into the issue of waiver of crop loans, the Congress leader hoped that the committee would come with a report containing appropriate suggestions to benefit the maximum number of farmers in 40 days - the deadline set for it for the purpose.
It may be recalled here that some days before the announcement of the elections results, Vivekananda Reddy was the only Congress leader, who had tried to get into the good books of Naidu by predicting that the yellow party would form the first government in the Residuary Andhra Pradesh state.
