Hiring Singapore experts for building AP capital Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, is now focusing his attention to fulfill his promise to model the truncated state of Andhra Pradesh after Singapore.
As a first step, he is planning to build a new capital city on the lines of Singapore. A delegation led by RoyKho, Consul General of Singapore Consulate, met Naidu at his residence on Tuesday.
The consul general also met the Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana. According to Narayana, the government was exploring the possibility of appointing experts from Singapore as consultants for building an ultra modern capital city for the state of Andhra Pradesh.
He said the TDP had promised a world class capital on the lines of Singapore. 'The government is also planning to build four mega cities in Seemandhra.
They include Vijayawada, Guntur, Visakhpatnam and Tirupati. Every city will be made popular for a different industry and development will be decentralized,' stated Narayana, after meeting delegates from Singapore. The meeting, the Minister said, was just a preliminary meeting.
