Naidu inciting hatred among people, says Ponnala HYDERABAD: Taking exception to Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu's move seeking cancellation of Power Purchase Agreement(PPA), TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah said that Naidu's move to cancel the PPA would create problems and urged him to reconsider his decision.
Speaking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan here, Ponnala said the move the AP chief minister was unconstitutional and against the spirit of AP State Reorganisation Act.
'Its a hurried decision and Chandrababu Naidu should reconsider his decision. Naidu was creating rift between Telugu people and jeopardising the future of both the states,' he alleged.
'If there is any problem Naidu should discuss the issue with Telangana chief minister and try to solve it amicably. Taking such a major decision unilaterally and in a hurried manner was not correct,' he suggested.
The TPCC chief urged the Telangana TDP leaders to prevail upon Chandrababu Naidu and ask him to withdraw his decision.
Meanwhile, Telangana Congress Legislature Party leader K Jana Reddy also criticised Chandrababu Naidu on the move. 'It's not good for Telugu people. Naidu is behaving irresponsibly and trying to create conflict between the people of two states. He should reconsider,' he remarked.
